The best for last.........

Good morning guys and gals! It's Saturday in east Tennessee and the weather is beautiful. I got up this morning and cut up some fresh fruit for breakfast. Some cantaloupe, honey dew, and pineapple. The kids absolutely loved it. I want to talk about false advertising this morning. You are probably thinking "What?" Well, let's dig into some of the good stuff and see what God's Word says........

Bible Verse: 1 Corinthians 12:31 "But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I show unto you a more excellent way."

Do you remember the cigarette commercials form about 20 years ago? All the cool people were smoking. Even in the movies, the cool people had to be smoking a cigarette. Or, maybe drinking. I can't think of to many movies were they are not smoking, drinking, or having sex. Think about it, crazy huh? Now, let's look from a different angle. Satan always gives the best first and the worst last. The Bible says in Proverbs 20:17, "The bread of deceit is sweet, but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel."  With Satan, it always starts sweet, but it does not end that way.

Satan is a counterfeiter, a liar, and a deceiver, and he is guilty of false advertising. He doesn't show the drunk dude in the gutter covered with flies and vomit. He doesn't show the drug addict shaking uncontrollably from another night of detox. He doesn't show the person with a huge hole in their neck from smoking for 20 years. He always gives the best first and the worst last. He always say's To be cool you have to _______!" You fill in the blank. Now, here is the good news. Jesus gives the best last. You may have to go through a lot of hardships but, the best is coming. Stay on the narrow road. It will be worth it. No doubt about it!!! If you want to quit any of these things. Pray for Gods help and then get to work kicking the habit.

Do me a favor. If you have never done this, it will burden your heart. have you ever been to a homeless shelter? If not, try to go tour one or volunteer for an afternoon. I promise it will change the way you think. I pray you have a great weekend and God bless.
