God's Kiddo!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning everyone! As you have started this new year off, you probably have already decided to do some things different this year. Maybe even called in a New Year's Resolution. We all do this even if our lives are going good. We have things we want to change. Maybe get a different hair style, lose weight, or buy a new car. All this stuff is great but, I want to talk about the inside first. Let's dig into the good stuff.........

Bible Verse: 1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, with your minds ready for action, be serious and set your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Ok, here's my question for ya. Who are you? I'm not asking how you described yourself in your Facebook profile! I mean, who are you really? Could I figure it out from looking closely at how you live your life? In the verses leading up to today's verse, Peter has just finished describing our salvation. How God brought it about and how it has changed our destiny with Him forever. We have been shown this awesome mystery of Jesus. We have believed and become children of God. Right? What now? Peter is telling us to "become who we are." Start with this verse: Prepare your mind for action! Are you ready to get to work? We must exercise the power of "no" to the things that are bad for us, so that we can say "yes" to the things that are good for us. We must set our minds on grace. Let's live for the heaven we could never earn, the heaven we belong in because we are God's kiddo's through faith in Jesus!

My question to ya today is. Is your mind prepared for whatever action God has in store for you? Are you ready for action? Are you controlling your desires, or visa-versa? What are you hopeful for today? Let's ask God to help us have a mind prepared for action and our hope set fully on His grace and focused! I hope you have a great day and God bless.

Pretty sweet don't ya think????????

Morning! Last night as midnight approached I thought of the year 2013. I thought of all the ups and downs that happened during the year. Then I thought about myself. What had I done in 2013 to make a difference. What had I done to make a difference for Christ. I found myself lacking a bit. I sat and read for a long time last night and when I awoke this morning, it was with a little different outlook. Let's dig into the good stuff and see what it shows us..........

Bible Verse: Philippians 2:5 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; and, being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore, God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

Ok, it is estimated that of all the people who've ever lived, from the beginning of creation to now, there have been about 30 billion here on earth. Of all those, few have had any major effect on human history. Really, one person stands out above all the rest. That one person, Christ, has attracted so much attention, devotion, criticism, and opposition than any other of those 30 billion. Really! Think about it. Even people who claim they don't believe, know the name of Jesus.

Chew on this, every recorded word He spoke has been studied, examined, and analyzed from generation to generation by students, theologians, and even historians. Think about it this way, at this moment millions around the globe in every time zone are studying what this one individual had to say. If you think about it that way, is it not pretty cool!

I mean this was Jesus of Nazareth. He preached and taught in a tiny little place called Israel about 2,000 years ago. What is even cooler is the birth of this baby has divided the centuries into "B.C." (before Christ) and "A.D." (Anno Domini, or "the Year of our Lord.") He divides world history. Pretty sweet don't ya think?????

Now, let's get some meat! Whether you are on death row or a big wig living in the Hamptons, you need Jesus. He's the saving Son of God. There's no one that He cannot save. There's no one that He will not save! Jesus is what the world needs today. We should thank God for allowing us to make it through 2013. Even if it was an awful year and you felt like it couldn't get any worse. It could have. Let's make a difference in 2014! Have a great day and God bless!
