Good day friends! I hope this finds everyone having a great day. I have to share my heart with you today. Lately, my family and I have faced some trials. It seems that the devil has been trying his best to knock us down. I know that God has allowed a lot of these things to happen. See, God will not let more happen to us than we can handle. Do you know what happens to steel when fire is put to it? When steel is forged. It is purified and made stronger. Which leads me to todays Bible verse. Let's dig into some of God's good stuff.
Bible Verse: Romans 8:18 - "For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
God wants to build spiritual steel and rock-solid faith into you. And the way He will do this is through the fires of affliction. Why? To test you. The faith that can't be tested, can't be trusted. The times I have grown the most were not when everything was going fine. The times when we go through sorrow, pressure, loss, sickness, and trouble are the growing pains of our lives with Christ. Isn't that true? I read this and wish I knew who wrote it, "I walked a mile with pleasure. She chatted all the way. But left me none the wiser, for all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow and not a word said she. But oh, the things I learned from her, when sorrow walked with me." Don't you get it. We should even be thankful for the hard times. They will make us stronger. How do I know? Because the Bible tells me so!
Are you in the fire of affliction? Trust that He will see you through and make you stronger when the test is over. Have a great day, I love you, and God bless!
